Who we are
NotATypicalShop (notatypicalshop.com) is run by Kamel Seklaoui, sole trader, based in Písac, Cusco, Peru. He is responsible for your personal data. Contact: info@notatypicalshop.com.
What we collect
- When you order: your name, billing and shipping address, email address, phone number if you give it, and what you buy. We never see or store your full card details: payments are handled by PayPal.
- When you write to us through a form or by email: your name, email address and message.
- If you create an account: your login details and order history.
- If you comment on the blog: your name, email address and comment.
- When you browse: the technical data needed to run and protect the site, such as your IP address and browser type.
Why we use it
- To process, ship and support your order, because we need it to fulfil our contract with you.
- To answer your messages, because you asked us to.
- To keep the site secure and prevent fraud, which is our legitimate interest.
- To keep accounting and tax records, because the law requires it.
- To send you news or offers, only if you said yes. You can unsubscribe at any time.
Who we share it with
We share only what each service needs to do its job: PayPal (payments), the carrier that delivers your parcel, our web host GoDaddy, our email delivery service, and the tools that protect the site from attacks and spam (Wordfence and Cloudflare Turnstile). Some of these services are based outside Peru, including in the United States, and protect your data under their own legal and contractual safeguards. We never sell your data.
Cookies
We only use the cookies the shop needs to work: your cart, your login and security checks. We do not use advertising or analytics cookies.
How long we keep it
- Orders and invoices: as long as tax law requires.
- Messages: up to 2 years after our last exchange.
- Your account: until you delete it or ask us to.
Your rights
You can ask to access, correct or delete your data, object to its use, and withdraw your consent at any time. In Peru these are your rights under Law 29733 on personal data protection. If you live in the European Union, the GDPR also gives you the right to receive your data in a portable format and to restrict its use. Write to info@notatypicalshop.com and we will answer within the time limits set by law.
You can also complain to Peru’s Autoridad Nacional de Protección de Datos Personales or, in the European Union, to the data protection authority of your country.
Security
The site uses an encrypted connection (HTTPS), a security firewall and restricted admin access. If a data breach puts your rights at risk, we will tell you.
Age
The shop is for adults. Some products, such as hapé and mapacho, are sold only to people aged 18 or over.
Changes to this policy
When our practices change, we update this page and the date at the top.
